The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) will host the inaugural CAMS Festival of Motor Sport on Sunday 14 February 2010 at the Perth Motorplex.

The event will be open to the general public, and clubs and retailers involved in motor sport are encouraged to contact CAMS to arrange a display. The CAMS Festival of Motor Sport will involve all aspects of the Western Australian motor sport community and will not be limited to CAMS affiliated members. 

The day will consist of both static and dynamic displays by the local motor sport fraternity aimed at raising their profile and celebrating motor sport in Western Australia.

CAMS Festival of Motor Sport

Highlights

• World Rally Championship driver Alister McRae presented by SpeedAware performing a demonstration sprint
• 2009 Targa West winner Steven Jones and his winning LFP/Northside Nissan GTR35 race car
• LF Performance Products race truck
• Dean Herridge’s Maximum Motorsport Subaru Imprezza WRX STI on display after placing 2nd at Targa Wrest Point. Dean is a former Australian Rally Championship, Asia Pacific Rally Championship and current Australian Tarmac Championship driver.

Dynamic Demonstrations

• Formula SAE university teams competition demonstration (11am)Mini Car Club Motorkhana (12pm)
• Australian Karting Association of WA demonstration (1pm)
• LF Speed Event Series sprint demonstration (10am on part of the Targa West prologue course)
• WA Off Road Racing Association demonstration (11am on the Speedway track

The Summer Autocross Series presented by the WA Car Club will also be running from 1:30pm on the Speedway track.
 
The state and national champions from WA will also be presented at the CAMS awards at 3pm.
