CAMS School Challenge
2009 CAMS SCHOOL CHALLENGE- 21 SEPTEMBER, CANBERRA
CAMS and Capital BEC have established a partnership to pilot an exciting new sporting initiative, as a part of BEC’s ‘Adopt A School Program’. By establishing a motor sport activity which has the potential to grow into a national event, given the success of this year’s pilot provides participants with a great opportunity.
Our aim is to encourage and support motor sport, and the recreational activities of motoring enthusiasts within Australia. CAMS Sports Development Program objectives are to develop drivers, to develop the car club network which young people can join, share in the experience of the enthusiasm of the motor car and develop their personal and car driving skills. |

This challenge has also been developed to also help connect employers with students. By providing an active link into the industry and the broader school environment will increase their knowledge and opportunity for careers and further education in the motor industry and motor sport.
The program will be run in Canberra, with 10 Canberra based schools participating as drivers, team manager, team captain, safety officer, technical members, publicist, automotive engineers, bookkeeper, communicator, marshals, timekeepers, caterers and equipment/ logistics officer and most of all team members.
