Safety 1st at events

As an integral component of the communication and consultation processes of the CAMS Safety 1st Strategy is to  assist CAMS and associated stakeholders to work towards a ‘Safety 1st’ culture.  This section provides a ‘tool box’ for stakeholders to apply and integrate safety into event planning and management activities.  This section of the site will be regularly updated with the latest information in regard to the CAMS Safety 1st Strategy, including initiatives, safety alerts, articles and forms, which are in Adobe PDF format and easily downloaded.

Organisers, competitors officials and contractors are encouraged to visit this area of the CAMS website often.

In order to provide a Safety 1st environment at motor sport events held under the sanction of CAMS organisers of events are required to plan their activities in a manner which demonstrates a commitment to providing a safe environment for all persons.  CAMS requires certain processes to be documented and submitted to CAMS prior to event permits being issued.  The forms and detailed background explanations are contained in this section.
