Aussie Racing Cars

 

The Aussie Racing Cars Super Series is a National category that races at circuits right across Australia giving both young and older drivers the opportunity to race at all the big events in front of massive crowds.

The category is a favourite amongst the fans also with everyone fascinated by the small size and big performance of the cars.

Aussie Racing Cars is considered a perfect place for young drivers to learn the circuits and race in front of major motorsport teams.

With events held at Adelaide’s Clipsal 500, Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and Bathurst, the Aussie Racing Cars are truly classed as a major category in Australia.

Aussie Racing Cars are a pure-bred race car designed and custom-built in Australia. They are about ¾ the size of a V8 Supercar, which enables the thrilling four-wide braking, overtaking, and slipstreaming duals that have become synonymous with the category. They represent a new era of excitement and colour in the motorsport arena.

Five different body styles are used – Toyota Aurion, AU Falcon, VY Commodore, 1940 Ford Coupe, and FJ Holden.

Aussie Racing Cars are powered by a 1.2 litre, 125bhp, twin-cam, 16 valve engine that revs to 11500rpm. Their 450kg weight provides an incredible power to weight ratio that allows the little machine to rocket to a speed of well in excess of 200kph.

Aussie Racing Cars regularly have fields of over 40 cars making them one of the largest and most popular motorsport categories in Australia.
