My vehicle hasn’t had a Pre-Race Check. Can I enter an event without this?
Yes, but do not expect the check to be undertaken at the meeting. Plan ahead as this is no different to the check required for any new vehicle.

My vehicle hasn’t been audited at the last three race meetings; can I enter an event without an audit?
Yes. The scrutineers will make a time to do the audit at the race meeting.

My vehicle has been checked in the last four race meetings; why are the Scrutineers checking on me?
The Chief Scrutineer is able to select any vehicle for a random audit in addition to the mandatory audit. 12 months or every fourth race meeting is a maximum interval and does not prevent the conduct of random audits.

What happens if my vehicle is checked at a race meeting and something is found that doesn’t comply with the rules?
If it is classed as a ‘Non-Critical Non-Safety’ item it will be logged as a Minor Ineligibility for rectification prior to the next race meeting. If it is a ‘Non-Critical Safety’ item, you will be given an opportunity to correct it and re-present your vehicle or equipment. If the item is a ‘Critical Safety’ item, you will be charged and have to explain the reasons to the Stewards of the Meeting. They will decide the appropriate penalty.

What do I do if I have competed in my vehicle at a hillclimb or other speed event where the vehicle has been scrutineered during the last four events?
Simply fill out the ‘Recent Competition and Scrutiny Audit History’ section of your entry disclaimer as per your Log Book, including the hillclimb or speed event. Present your Log Book at Document Checking at the event and the scrutineers will decide whether or not your vehicle is due for an Audit at the event.

I am an event organiser. Do competitors have to present their race apparel and equipment for checking?
No. Scrutineers will spot check race apparel and equipment in the Form Up and Parc Ferme areas.
