New Logbook

To apply for a new vehicle logbook you must complete the following steps:

LOGBOOK APPLICATION FORM

PRE-LOGBOOK INSPECTION

An inspection MUST be carried out by an approved scrutineer prior to submitting the logbook application. For a list of CAMS accredited scrutineers click here.

ROLL CAGE REGISTRATION

If your car is fitted with a roll cage the manufacturer of the roll cage is required to complete the Safety Cage Registration form. These forms are available from state offices, the roll cage manufacturer, or from here. If downloading the form, a copy of the completed form should be retained by the manufacturer and the owner and the original forwarded to CAMS with the Log Book Application.

CAMS MEMBERSHIP NUMBER

Please include this on your application. You must be a CAMS licence holder in order to obtain a logbook. For all licence related enquiries call 1300 883 959

PHOTOS

You must provide two colour photographs of your vehicle. Both should be 9cm x 7cm, of both side-rear and side-front of the vehicle. Photos can also be emailed to logbooks@cams.com.au.

FEE

The fee of $80.00 must be sent with the application. The application will be processed within 1 week (providing all paperwork is correct). If the logbook is required before that time a $70 priority fee will be applicable, making the total fee $150.00
