ARC RALLY CALDER AND MELBOURNE'S FESTIVAL OF SPEED TO TAKE OVER CALDER PARK

Round one of the Australian Rally Championship will get under way on the 1st of March at the Calder Park Raceway. The precinct will be a hive of activity with a variety of events taking place, as well as stalls, displays and numerous viewing points designed to keep fans close to the action.

Scott Pedder, BOSCH ARC CEO and Rally Calder Event Director said; “2012 Rally Calder, presented by East Coast Bullbars, has been designed to showcase rallying and motorsport by providing the public a vast array of motorsport options and viewing points within the one motorsport complex. This event truly is a festival of speed.”

The event highlights are as follows:

  • Round 1 of the Australian Side x Side (All-Terrain Vehicles) Rally Challenge
  • ARC Forum Battle : Australia’s fastest road cars compete for car club glory via Time Attack, One-Lap Dash, Gymkhana and Drag.
  • ARC Forum Battle : Show N Shine
  • Drift Car Demonstrations
  • Rallyschool.com.au Rally Hotlaps
  • Displays, Kids Zone and much more!

The ARC Forum Battle is a completely unique event designed to reward Australia’s best online car forum over a competition made up of 6 motorsport and non-motorsport point scoring facets

It represents the first event where car forums will compete head to head on a large scale at a national level alongside the Australian Rally Championship.

This will be a fantastic event and the perfect way to start the Australian Rally Championship Season whilst celebrating motor sport from grass roots to the elite level.
