CAMS Congratulates the Hon. Alex Chernov AC QC, Governor of Victoria

The CAMS President, Board, members and staff offer their congratulations to the Honourable Alex Chernov, AC, QC, Governor of Victoria on his appointment as a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for his contribution to education and the judiciary.

A former Supreme Court Judge and Chancellor of the University of Melbourne and a Queens Council, Alex Chernov is a long-standing member of CAMS and was the Chairman of the Australian Motor Sport Appeal Court for more than a decade.

He was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2012 for services to the law through a range of judicial and administrative roles with Victorian, national and Asia-Pacific bodies, and to education through the University of Melbourne.
