Jack Le Brocq has wrapped up the 2012 Australian Formula Ford Championship with a clean sweep at the 50th Anniversary of the great race at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.
After winning all three races over the course of the weekend, Le Brocq has secured the title, despite there being one round left in the Championship at Winton in November.
This was Le Brocq's first visit to the world famous circuit, and he was quick to get to grips with its unique challenges.
Le Brocq was pleased to have wrapped up the Championship with such a strong performance at the Mountain.
“It is an absolutely amazing feeling to have wrapped up the Championship and to do it at Bathurst of all places makes it so much sweeter” said Le Brocq.
“It is a true testament to how hard the Team and I have worked over the last three years to get where we are, along with the support of the AMSF and my sponsors and to win the Championship for everyone and being the first for Minda Motorsport is a pretty special feeling.
"This has been one massive Team effort from everyone and I can’t thank you all enough for jumping on board and joining me on my motor racing journey
After a close finish in the first race, Le Brocq managed to run out a comfortable winner in races two and three, crossing the line over four seconds in front of the pack in both.
For Le Brocq, it was the perfect way to finish the weekend, and sets up an enjoyable final round of the Championship.
“I couldn’t ask for a better finish to what has been an unbelievable weekend. I really took it all in on the last few laps and savoured the moment which was great!
"I can’t wait to get to the last round at Winton now to race without any pressure and just go for more race wins.
