The AGPC is Seeking Victorian Car Clubs interested in participating in the Formula 1® as an Automotive Avenue Car Display. The Australian Grand Prix Corperation (AGPC) are seeking expressions of interest from returning car clubs and for clubs that have never been able to take part and may believe that they are not suitable. The AGPC will review all applications for their suitability and are particularly looking at new clubs to be a part of the Automotive Avenue.
At the 2013 Formula 1® event, all patrons who came to the event to experience the pinnacle of Motor Racing, the Support Categories and the myriad off track entertainment at the event also enjoyed viewing the 24 car club displays of over 450 unique cars in displays around the circuit. These add colour and excitement for all patrons, with the added opportunity to display cars that don’t normally see the light of day and to importantly allow a chance for clubs to seek new members.
If your club is interested in participating in the form of a static display of vehicles please complete an EOI in a return email and include the below points;
- the number of cars you expect to have available for the display for the duration of the event (Wednesday bump in and on Sunday afternoon bump out)
- that each club nominates and confirms the coordinator who will be the primary point of contact for the club and who will organise the club prior to, and during the event.
- on the suitability of the location provided in 2013 (if the club participated in 2013)
If you require more information on the content of the EOI please contact Toby Ward.
EOI’s are to be sent to Toby.Ward@grandprix.com.au prior to the 13th January 2014. Once he has received your EOI the Australian Grand Prix Corporation will assess your application for suitability. Once the AGPC have accepted your Club with formal written advice to participate, Tpby Ward will be forwarding an Information Pack that includes the entry form to be completed for each Car Club.
