To be considered for the 2012 AMSF International Rising Star Program, applicants must meet the following pre-selection criteria:
- The driver must be between 14 and 25 years of age (as of January 1, 2012)
- The driver must be competing in international competition in 2010
- The driver’s long term goal must be to compete at the pinnacle of international competition, including Formula 1™, World Rally Championship or Indycar etc...
- The driver must have the ability to source a significant proportion of the racing budget
- The driver must be willing to sign a contract with the AMSF and a future earnings agreement
- The driver must have consistently achieved outstanding results over the last 3 years
