The CAMS Rising Star Program is run under licence by the Australian Motor Sport Foundation.
The CAMS Rising Star Program supports the major junior pathway categories for open wheel motor racing and therefore supports the other objectives of the broader program, i.e. to increase participation. Without well defined pathways, grassroots participation will be negatively affected. CAMS Rising Star Objectives The key objectives of the CAMS Rising Star are as follows: - To provide a structure to facilitate the rapid development of racing drivers from sprint/super karting and other lower levels of competition to national open wheel racing (e.g. Formula Ford)
- To work with the Australian Motor Sport Foundation Ltd (AMSF) to provide a structure to facilitate the rapid development of racing drivers from national open wheel racing to the pinnacle of national and international competition (i.e. Formula 1™ and V8 Supercars)
- To increase participation in motor sport through clearly defined and supported progressional pathways.
