The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) is pleased to support the F1 in Schools program by providing a FREE 1hr workshop to the schools involved encompassing a learning program which focuses on the initial phases of the program design with emphasis on Aerodynamics.

One of the key elements within the program is the way in which students are required to collaborate with leading industry organisations to source knowledge and resources during the project.

CAMS has trained course presenters located in all states and territories.

  • Beginner Workshop *ALL NEW CONTENT*

For teams registered in the development or cadet categories, this workshop has been designed to assist teams in the intial drafting stages of their project by providing context and background to Formula 1 aerodynamic changes as well as basic aerodynamic concepts.

  • Advanced Workshop *ALL NEW CONTENT*

For teams who have previously participated in the CAMS beginner workshop or have registered in the professional category, this workshop is aimed at getting students to think about more advanced aerodynamic concepts as it applies to car design and delve deeper into the F1 in Schools regulations.

If you are interested in the above workshops, please email us at [email protected] or 08 9208 8500 to book a session today!

Run by the Re-Engineering Australia Foundation (REA) the competition commenced in Australian in 2003 and is offered to all high schools across Australia. It focusses on developing the creativity and innovation of high school students through a structured engineering design project based on the development of a model Formula 1™ racing car.

Initially aimed at students in years 7–10 is now offered to students from years 5-12. Each year the program engages more than 40,000 high school students in Australia and delivers industry-standard technology into schools which is made available to a further 300,000 students outside the program.
