Perth’s Langley Park will be home to the popular Celebration of Motorsport in August as one of the largest free-to-attend displays ever hosted comes to town.
Partnered with Make Smoking History Targa West, the City of Perth and 96FM, attendees will be able to get up close and personal with a variety of Soapbox racers, motorcycles and jet boats, as well as racing cars from all eras and disciplines.
Car clubs are encouraged to get in involved with the celebration weekend, with organiser Ross Tapper proud of the exposure the admired event gives for clubs of all sizes.
“Thanks to the support of the City of Perth we will be turning the Riverside Drive area into a motorsport hub on the day,” Tapper said.
“The area has always been a popular drawcard for motor sport enthusiasts who come out to enjoy the city stage of Targa West and Shannons Classics on the Park, which is a static display of over 200 of Perth’s finest classic vehicles.
“The Celebration of Motorsport will compliment these events with an additional program of free family fun.
“The event is not only free to attend, but it will also be free for those wanting to display their vehicles or advertise their motorsport related business.
“We already have many exhibitors committed - but with such a large area to fill there is plenty of room for more.”
The Celebration of Motorsport will take place on Sunday, 12 August, from 8am until 4pm at Langley Park in Perth City, Western Australia.
